On November 8th, at 2:00 PM, in the Amphitheatre of the Colégio do Espírito Santo (Room 131) at the University of Évora, the PACTUAL project team — composed of members from the observatory team and coordinated by Professor Doctor Noémi Marujo — hosted a conference entitled "Tourism and Cultural Heritage: Visitor Experiences and Motivations." The event was aligned with the ongoing research work developed by the PACTUAL project in recent months and served as a moment of knowledge sharing and transfer regarding cultural tourism, the relationship with heritage, and visitor profiling.
Participants included Professor Doctor Jaime Serra, in his capacity as Deputy Director of CIDEHUS; Professor Doctor Mariana Carvalho, Director of the Tourism degree program at ESEC-IPC and an integrated researcher at CITUR, who addressed the dimension of cultural and multisensory experience within the context of gastronomic tourism; and Professor Doctor Alexandra Gonçalves, who provided a broad and contextualized perspective on the work she has been developing in the field of cultural and creative tourism. The closing session was led by Professor Noémi Marujo.
